BASEBALL UNDER THE MIDNIGHT SUN SINCE THE 1970’S

The Fairbanks Adult Amateur Baseball League (FAABL) is a volunteer-run men’s wood bat league in Fairbanks, Alaska. We exist to give adults a chance to play competitive baseball under the Midnight Sun, build community, and grow the game in Interior Alaska.

We welcome players of all skill levels, from first-timers to former college athletes. If you’re 18 or older and love the game, you belong here.

HOW THE LEAGUE WORKS

FAABL games are played on Sunday afternoons throughout the summer, with some potential midweek matchups. All teams play 7-inning games using MLB rules and wood bats. We keep the game competitive, but we never lose the love of it.

Every season kicks off with open tryouts and a player draft, where our team managers build their rosters. Whether you’ve played before or not, you’ll get your shot.

  • 18+ to play

  • $125 average cost (varies by team)

A TRADITION OF BASEBALL IN FAIRBANKS

FAABL has been a part of Fairbanks baseball history since the 1970s. We’ve crowned champions every year since 1999, and we’re still growing.

Each season includes:

  • Our annual All-Star Game vs. the Alaska Goldpanners

  • Team representation in the Alaska State Tournament (July)

  • The Fairbanks City Series Championship (August)

  • And in 2025? Maybe a Moose Ball or David Jandt Tournament

We play under the midnight sun, surrounded by trees, mountains, and the buzz of summer. It's baseball the way it was meant to be—simple, competitive, and unforgettable.

OUR MISSION

At the heart of FAABL is a simple mission: to give players and their families a way to enjoy real baseball under the unforgettable glow of the midnight sun.
We’re committed to growing the game in
Interior Alaska, where baseball isn’t just a sport—it’s part of our story. From the field to the dugout, we want every season to build on Fairbanks' rich baseball tradition and keep it thriving for the next generation.

OUR VISION

FAABL EXISTS TO:

  • Grow the game of baseball in Fairbanks

  • Create a space where men can compete, connect, and have fun

  • Offer a summer experience that’s family-friendly, exciting, and rooted in tradition

IN 2025, WE’RE LEVELING UP WITH:

  • A new league newsletter (The Dugout Chronicles)

  • Louder, cleaner game-day music

  • And continued efforts to make this league the highlight of your summer
